Engelska skolan in Lund requires a teacher in Swedish as a second language, part time
Our school is a part of the organisation, Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige AB (IES). We are a growing organisation which now consists of twenty-two schools throughout Sweden. We established our first school in Skåne in August 2013 and are now expanding. We will move in to our new custom rebuilt school building in August 2014. Our Swedish teachers must have or have applied for the Swedish teaching certificate (lärarlegitimation) and our native speaking English teachers must have a teaching degree from their homeland for the relevant subjects and year groups
We are now locking for a teacher in Swedish as a second language 40 - 60 %
The volume is negotiable. You will work both in the ordinary classes and with smaller groups of non-speaking students.
The IES ethos has proven to be stable and successful.
The following are important factors in this winning concept:
¤ English is taught in an international setting.
¤ We follow the Swedish curriculum and time plan.
¤ Committed and certified teachers "go the extra mile".
¤ Performance-based learning motivates students to reach their full potential. We give clear and regular feed-back to students and parents about both social and academic progress.
¤ We leave no child behind but give extra help where and when needed.
¤ Through "tough love" students learn manners, behaviour, respect and responsibility.
Care and guidance give a calm and safe learning environment.
¤ We focus on that which students need to do in order to be successful.
Are you the committed teacher we are looking for to help us maintain our high educational standards? We are looking for people who are willing to "pull up their sleeves" and help out wherever necessary, in order to get all aspects of the school to work well. You will be a part of a team of multicultural, international teachers and staff, whose working language is English. In communication with students and parents, however, you will need to be able to use both English and Swedish.
Send your application and résumé today but no later than June 13th to perola.olsson@lund.engelska.se
For further information please contact the principal Mr Per Ola Olsson at perola.olsson@engelska.se or phone 0736-619823
Employments starts August 4th 2013 but we expect our new teachers to be present at meetings during the spring
