For the academic year 2020/21 we seek a qualified teacher in music to our school in Kista.

Are you passionate about music and would thrive in an international environment? We are looking for a certified music teacher that will teach students in years 4-9.

Work description

Internationella Engelska Skolan in Kista is a Swedish elementary school, grades 4 to 9. We are a bilingual school (Swedish and English) and about half of our excellent teachers and staff come from abroad, lending the school a strong international profile

You will be joining an experienced and creative team and will have responsibility for your own planning. We work closely in our departments with subject development and cross curricular themes, so we are looking for a creative team player wanting to be part of our collegial sharing approach for quality learning at our school. These subjects are taught in English or bilingually using Swedish. 

Qualifications

We require lärarlegitimation or if internationally qualified, a current teaching license/registration plus a bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, committed team-player, willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues. In addition to teaching meaningful and enjoyable lessons, all staff are expected to be well organised, take pride in their mentorship and other school duties and above all, be outstanding role models for our students. We as a school strives for excellence and we have an organisation set to achieve that, both academically and socially. Teaching will be in English or Swedish. You will follow the Swedish national curriculum, so an understanding of Swedish is valuable although not required.
