Music teacher for Internationella Engelska Skolan in Kungsbacka  Do you want to work in an international environment in an organisation with a clear pedagogical vision? Are you an enthusiastic and passionate teacher that believes in every student's ability? Internationella Engelska Skolan in Kungsbacka opened in 2021 and is expanding for the upcoming school year. Eventually in 2023/24 we will be fully expanded with a total of 900 students in grades F-9. At IES our ethos is the foundation of how we perform and we are proud to have schools in Sweden which offer students bilingualism, high academic expectations and a safe and orderly environment. Since our start in Kungsbacka we have had excellent results in surveys from parents, teachers and students. We are now looking to strengthen our team with a fully qualified Music Teacher who can lead lessons, after school activities and be that burning light our students need to realise their passion for music. It is vital that you have the desire, competence and ability to build a subject and strengthen our image music wise. Our music room has been specially built and is acoustically designed to be self isolated and be the perfect room to expand your and your students horizons. End of year ceremonies, Christmas concerts and spontaneous performances must be part of your yearly wheel.....together with colleagues and students! the more the merrier.

We require läralegitimation or if internationally qualified teachers, a current teaching licence/registration plus a Bachelor's degree and teaching qualification. (ESL qualifications such as TEFL are not sufficient) Enthusiastic, committed, team-players that are willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues English or Swedish native/competent speakers.  Clearance from the police register is essential.



IES Kungsbacka is a bilingual school which opened in 2021 with 700 students F-7. In 2024 we will be at full capacity with 900 students F-9, 100 staff and an active PTA. The school is located next to the river in central Kungsbacka, adjacent to Aranäsgymnasiet, Kungsbacka Sporthall, Kungsbacka simhall and Kungsbacka ishall. We are 10 minutes walk from the train station, or 3 minutes by bus, and surrounded by wonderful areas to walk and relax. IES Kungsbacka has set goals to be Kungsbacka’s best school and one of the leading schools in the organisation.
