About us
The International English School Upplands Väsby was opened in August 2020. We have started this semester with 18 classes in year F-8 and then developed further into an F-9 school in the academic year 22/23. IES in Upplands Väsby is a truly international school. We have a fantastic mix of staff from all over the world together with staff from Sweden, which will lead to increased quality of training. Being involved in the start-up of a new school means that you can be involved in building a school from scratch. This also means that you must be flexible and prepared to work in different areas.
As a Leisure Leader, you will be part of the teaching team in year F-2 with mentorship. Students in grades F – 2, have between kl. 08.00-14.00 strengthened school start, a collaboration between school and leisure. The strengthened start of school means that leisure staff and teachers, based on their different competencies, work together to make the students' school day as versatile as possible. The leisure staff adds to all students the creative activities that were previously outside the school's activities. Today it is integrated into the school day with us at IES Upplands Väsby. We would like to see a person with experience in leisure pedagogy, preferably someone with an interest in outdoor pedagogy.
We at IES, advocate our IES Ethos, that with a clear focus on student peace, security and respect. We strive for a positive school environment that is permissive and inclusive - and that gives good school results.
