We are looking for substitute teachers, to work at an hourly rate covering short term teacher absences as, and when, needed. 

Requirements:  

• You have an academic degree or are in the process of acquiring one. A teaching degree is preferred but not required.

• You have excellent skills in English and have no problem with working in an English-speaking environment. Having Swedish skills will be considered a merit.

• You are great at following instructions and taking responsibility. 

• You will be required to present a valid police check in order to work in a school. 

• You have the right to work in Sweden, have Swedish personal identification number and a bank account. 

Main duties include: 

• Substituting for a teacher in class and providing support to the students. We expect you to be able to substitute all subjects at our school, such as English, Mathematics, Swedish, PE etc.  

• Following the lesson plans provided and adapting to unexpected situations accordingly.   

• Maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom• Maintaining good order and discipline among students, in accordance with the school’s behaviour policies 

 Detailed lesson plans will be available for you and support from other staff is always close by. Please note that there are no guaranteed hours. How much and how often you substitute will depend on your availability and our demand for substitutes. The position is non contractual and work can be offered sporadically and at short notice.
