Teacher, Substitute, Grade 4-9

We have staff from all over the world, which brings us an interesting knowledge exchange and a mix of experiences. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish, depending on subject, with English being the official language of communication among staff and students.  

IES Hässelby is a school for grades 4-9 with 570 students and 60 staff. We follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to 50% of teaching in English. Our school is located in Hässelby, just outside the city of Stockholm, a short walk from Grimsta nature reserve and Hässelby strand train station.

We are now looking for external substitute teachers by the hour. As a substitute you need to be ready to come in with short notice, interested in teaching many subjects and excited to spend time with different year groups.

We are looking for candidates who:

- Are able to follow and execute lesson plans set by the class teacher.
- Have previous experience and/or are qualified to work with children.
- Have excellent English language skills and preferably also proficient in Swedish.
- Are confident and enthusiastic and able to show their own initiative.
