We are seeking 1-2 candidates for a 12-month, full time position as teacher ("timlärare") at the Division och Computer Science and AI, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Information about the department
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a joint department at University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology, with activities on both campuses and over 240 staff from more than 30 countries. We provide high-quality education at Bachelor's, Master's, and graduate levels, offering over 120 courses each year. We also have extensive national and international collaborations with academia, industry, and society. Our research spans from theoretical computer science to applied systems development, with a large recent expansion in data science, machine learning and AI and its applications. The Data Science and AI division within CSE engages in research and education in this growing area. Job description
The main responsibilities are to teach courses in the Data Science and AI division, including being course responsible, and to supervise Master and BSc projects. You may also engage in course development and in shorter external courses in the area.
Contract terms
Temporary employment, 12 months.
Qualifications
Documented pedagogical experience and skill in data science at the university level, and a licentiate or doctorate in data science, computer science or other relevant area.
For eligibility, you must have the ability to cooperate as well as the ability and suitability otherwise required to perform the tasks well.
The ability to express yourself well, both in writing and orally, in English.
Previous experience in teaching courses relevant to the division is meritorious. Knowledge of Swedish is meritorious. Formal pedagogical qualifications are meritorious.
