About this opportunity
We are now looking for a Product Development Leader to secure Ericsson technology leadership and make sure we have the right scope, quality, time and cost for product development. As a leader, you will guide, challenge, and develop individuals, teams and organizations and be a mentor for them. You will foster a creative and learning culture. You will be working with mechanical design, thermal challenges, building practices and other related areas like interconnect design, industrial design etc.
Your understanding of product development in a high-tech environment will give you the ability to find the right compromises and solutions.

You are used to working in a global environment with many interfaces and partners. You are proactive and will work to remove impediments that our design team will meet. You are flexible and can adapt your mentorship/leadership style as it is suitable for the team and the development phase of the project.

What you will do

• Secure release and delivery product/components according to processes and aligned in time with overall project
• Provide the team with detailed and overall task and time planning, including priority management
• Secure accurate resource planning and be the representative towards project and line as well as info carrier to the team
• Monitor and remove project work related impediments, bring up if needed and support in continuous process refinements
• Coach team to identify project and product risks, knowledge gaps and plan actions to mitigate
• Work with continuous improvements, retrospectives and lessons learned to improve our way of working and processes
• Close collaboration with sourcing, supply, and technical specialists
• Secure a robust and reliable product via a good understanding of the design and planning for required testing
• Work as a team leader which include acting as a role model with regard to values, culture, principles, tools and best practices

You will bring

Bachelor of science in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of work experience from HW product development
Leadership skills with demonstrated ability in leading teams, coaching, and mentoring skills
Excellent communication skills and English knowledge in speech and writing mandatory, knowledge in Swedish (a plus)
Self-driven, proactive, result oriented, critical thinking and problem-solving attitude
Experience from different manufacturing techniques and assembly methods
Experience from working in a collaborative environment
Knowledge and experience of a product design and development of mechanical parts
A creative and innovative approach
Good business understanding and customer insight
