If we can’t do is safe, we won’t do it at all and like all over Borealis, safety goes first. In this role, you will promote functional safety and implementation of new digital technology in the process automation field.
This will be your responsibilities:
Lead a team of experts working in the field of Process Automation
Support key investment projects with process automation competence
Lead projects and troubleshooting/incidents investigations in Borealis and for licensees
Drive improvements in Borealis' engineering specification for a safe and cost-effective automation implementation
Promote innovative thinking and strive for “fit for purpose” solutions that delivers business value

About you
You are the right candidate if you have a Master of Science in Engineering, 15 years experience from working in petrochemical / polymer / process industry and 10 years’ experience from work in investment projects. You also need to have technical experiences and training in the following fields:
Process automation systems (ESD/DCS/PLC)
Industrial IT
Functional Safety Engineering/Management
Process control and tuning
Project management

As a person, you need to have demonstrated ability to lead people in an international environment, drive initiatives and achieve objectives.
Other information
This position will be responsible for a team of 5-7 Process Automation Experts and projects spread all over the world, and therefore it requires a willingness to travel on a global basis and that you are fluent in verbal and written English.
