Basetech Test & Integration
We are a system team working with software testing and test environment development. Our team mainly focus on the complete system testing, but we are also involved in the lower levels of testing. We work with both manual testing, fault tracing and test automation. Our team is cross-functional, i.e., we have both test design, test planning, infrastructure development, test automation and defect handling in the same Scrum team. The team consists of both senior and junior testers. Our technology roadmap is exciting, and you will be part of an amazing journey when we scale up with new functionality such as machine learning.
We are now looking for an engaged team manager for Basetech Integration & Test to help us develop our teams. You have a passion for coaching teams and people within embedded software systems in large-scale software development organizations or within software and electronics test and integration.
You have a solid background and a hands-on practice within software testing. You have a strong people-centric view and an ability to build and support strong empowered teams with a high level of specialist competence.
You are a supportive and experienced people manager with the ability to lead through people, listen and coach and are motivated by creating new solutions together with cross-functional teams. You are creative, communicative, analytical and curious and are driven by finding new ways forward by supporting your teams in delivering to the best of their ability.
What you’ll do
The group consists of teams working across Research and Development with test development on complete node and complete electrical system level and strategies related to test and continuous integration.
The mission in our teams is to:
• bring integration driven development and test into product creation to continuously demonstrate that we deliver the best electrical system in the automotive world
• secure a stable and robust electrical system for Volvo Car’s new SW and electronics platforms
You’ll be responsible of a team of 15-20 dedicated members. As a manager you’ll be responsible of creating development opportunities, establish a long-term competence development, planning activities as well as recruiting for future key competences. You’ll support the group in the day-to-day work, work to secure software integration, test-strategy development and fault- and actively participate in the department’s management group.
Required qualifications / skills:
• Management experience from leading organizations with complex tasks and coaching empowered agile teams
• Leadership experience from working on SW or test and integration in large scaled software developing organization
• M.Sc in Electrical and Software Engineering or similar relevant experience
• At least 8 years of experience from working with embedded software systems and software test and integration
• High communicational and cooperation skills
• Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and/or English
• Strategic and delivery mindset
Meritorious:
• Experience of implementation of CI pipelines for SW development
• Software coding experience
• Testing experience
• Agile frameworks and development such as SAFe
Personal qualities:
