What's in it for you?
You will be part of the product area Platform, located in the unit Digital Core and be responsible for employees and consultants in the cluster Cloud foundation. Cloud foundation focus area is to build and operate the container services used by VCC. Our main container platform is the home grown open source and Kubernetes based Bakery platform. The cluster is also managing Openshift based services.  

We are now searching for a Team Manager with leadership skills supporting the continued transformation of the platform product area. To succeed in this role, we believe you need to be a servant leader that have a passion for leading and developing others, enjoy empowering people and that have embraced an agile mindset and culture. We also believe you have a strong desire and experience from work within or close to the Software development and operations processes.

What you’ll do:
As a Team Manager in the Cloud foundation cluster you will be responsible for:
• Inspiring and empowering others; developing people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and feedback
• Removing impediments that may hinder teams’ performance 
• Creating a working environment in which uncertainty can be handled
• Energizing people; create an environment where people are motivated and happy
• Competence development for your team members; create an environment where people are challenged, invited to learn, and stay motivated.
• People plan to match our product roadmap short, mid and long term.
• When needed recruit and onboard new experts.
You are expected to support, challenge, and develop the organization and culture with focus on the members of your team. You will also be responsible for staffing our product teams so that they can meet current and future demands and foster a strong engineering culture in our product area.

Who you are:
We’re looking for you who have previous experience in leading people, Agile mindset and behavior with experience and good understanding of Agile Frameworks (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, Design Thinking, SAFe) to apply Agile ways of working.  You possess previous or present Software development experience with DevOps mindset.

As a person, we see that you have good communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, as well as you know how to guide, and organize people and activities into an efficient workflow.  In addition, you have experience in developing others by using coaching, mentoring, feedback, and stretch assignments supporting Volvo Cars learning culture.  You are good at problem-solving and decision making.

Position is located in Gothenburg, and the major part of the workweek is needed in the office.   Please, don’t be discouraged to apply if you lack one or two, rather let us have a good discussion about it.
