What’s in it for you?
Volvo Cars Core System is built up by high performance and high integrity components with different Operating Systems that together ensure a highly reliable and safe car. At the department/ART Core System Components we develop core system hardware, deploy it using high integrity operating systems and integrate the applications on top. We have responsibilities that stretch all the way from concept development, through the development cycle, and to the launch of the car. This includes all steps in the process from defining platform components, to the integration of application and continuous integration testing, for all involved disciplines. Our ART is responsible for developing and integrating several electronic control units used in all car platforms, both with sourced and in-house developed software.

What you will do?
As a team manager, you will build, lead, and develop an organization that is responsible to set up the Autosar based platform for next-generation body controllers. You will proactively work with competence development to assure the right skills within the team as well as recruiting and onboarding new members.

In your role as a leader, you listen closely to and challenge your team members to continuously learn, identify and solve escalated team impediments with main attention on flow and escalate when needed. You proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence in line with long term technical strategies. An essential part of your work is to guide and coach the team in a agile development as well as be a servant leader.

Who are you
You are curious, positive, and a true people-person. We believe that you have a strong drive to engage and support teams and people. Your communication skills are excellent and you value collaboration and balancing of different stakeholders. You like to recruit and build new organizations and have the skill to set up well-functional teams. To be successful in this role you need to be open-minded towards new tools, solutions, and maybe most important, other team members. A large part of the work is bringing different technologies and people together into a coherent solution that is well-aligned and highly effective. You are fluent in English, written and spoken.
We believe that experience related to the automotive industry and working from an international environment is meritorious in this role. Other experiences such as working in large-scale agile software companies is also meritorious.
