What´s in it for you
You will be part of the product area Corporate Worklife focusing on enabling a great worklife for Volvo Cars employees and consultants, located in the unit Digital Core. As a Team Manager you will be responsible for employees and consultants in the product clusters Global People Capabilities and Local Capabilities.
Global People Capabilities consists of 5 products focusing on digital enablement of the global people processes. Local Capabilities is made up by 5 products supporting Sweden, Belgium, Asia-China and Americas with local HR tools and facility management.
We are now searching for a Team Manager with strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset that will be part of the continued transformation of the Corporate Worklife product area. To succeed in this role, we believe that you need to be a servant leader and a real team player with a passion for leading and developing others, empowering people and embracing an agile mindset and culture.
What you’ll do
As a Team Manager in the Global People Capabilities and Local Capabilities clusters you will be responsible for inspiring and empowering others; developing people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and feedback. You will be removing impediments that may hinder the teams’ performance. You will be energizing people and create a work environment where your colleagues are motivated and happy and in which uncertainty can be handled.
Moreover, performance and competence development for your team members will be an important part - to create an environment where people are challenged, invited to learn and stay motivated. You will manage people processes like compensation management and the people plan to match our product roadmap short, mid and long term. When needed you will recruit and onboard new experts and make sure our product teams are staffed to meet current and future demands.
Furthermore, you are expected to support, challenge and develop the organization and culture with a focus on the members of your team. You will foster a strong engineering culture in our product area.
Do you fit the profile?
We expect you to have previous experience of leading people. You have strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills. You know how to influence and organize people and activities into an efficient workflow. You have experience in developing others by using coaching, mentoring, feedback and stretch assignments which is essential to support Volvo Cars’s learning culture.
Lastly, we expect you to have an agile mindset and behavior with experience and a good understanding of Agile Frameworks (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, Design Thinking, SAFe) to apply Agile ways of working.
