Verisure is seeking an innovative and driven Manager, with passion for both people and technology, to join our expanding Group IT Organization. You will be responsible for a Development team in the Do It Yourself/Self services area, delivering and supporting services that bring value to our end users and customers today and tomorrow! About the role
The Manager is responsible for creating conditions for and managing a high performing Development team and to be actively involved in the Team’s everyday work. The Manager is responsible for making sure that the team develop solutions in line with Group Strategies and Roadmaps to accelerate Business + IT’s capabilities within the Core Monitoring area. At Verisure we are working according to Agile principles, including DevOps. The Team Managers role is to guide the team in their work, ensuring the team members wellbeing.
As a Manager you're responsible for:
* Leading and empowering the Team.
* Planning and allocation of resources (employees and contractors) to effectively staff, develop and deliver the highest prioritized work tasks in an efficient way, meeting the quality targets.
* Hiring of new team members, when needed.
* Performance evaluation and talent development.
* Work proactively with Risks and Risk mitigation.
* Manage the overall operational and financial responsibilities of the team.
* Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Overall responsible for team deliverables and product quality.
The Manager is also a member of the Department’s Management Team, aligning roadmaps and development plans with resource capacity and highlighting needs for new/additional skills among all department members.
Your experience
We believe you have in total 5+ years of relevant professional experience in the IT industry and 3+ years’ experience from previous management positions.
Furthermore, you have:
* Experience from leading in-house IT product development and engineers.
* Technical qualifications and experience in utilizing technology as an enabler for business processes.
* Experience of delivering complex, high tech projects involving integration of large systems and mobile application engineering and other digital platforms.
* Experience in multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
* Professional Working Proficiency in English.
