What's in it for you?
Safe Vehicle Automation (SVA) is a unit within R&D developing and ensuring safe, controlled & efficient mobility. It includes the departments Vehicle Energy & Motion Control, AD/ ADAS platform & protective safety, AD/ Pilot Assist & Active Safety Functions and SW & Environments. SW & Environment is a horizontal organization with responsibility cross the unit for Continues Integration infrastructure, virtual environments, Data management and Concept & Architecture work.
We are now looking for a successor to our former team manager for our HIL environments. You will be part of the management team, and we offer the possibility to grow and long-term development within an area where we want to be in the forefront of the industry.

What you’ll do!
You’ll help the engineers in your team by removing obstacles and helping them grow. You’ll contribute to agile ways of working, through technical leadership, prioritization, and close collaboration with your product owner, scrum masters, other teams and leaders. You are a person that have adopted a lean agile mind-set, applied a servant leadership, have good communication skills, and can collaborate well with Volvo Cars stakeholders.
The team’s tasks will span all the way from early concepts to rolling out large scale and high quality HIL environments and frameworks. The group consists of 3 teams with one product owner taking the complete responsibility for SVA’s HIL environments.

Who are you?
We think you have a Master of Science or equivalent work life experience and technical knowledge in the area of virtual test environments, continuous integration and SW engineering. Leader experience and experience from people management, cross-functional collaboration and hands-on software development. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential when working in a diverse and international company.
