Team Manager R&D within mechatronics, Sickla (Stockholm)

We are looking for a new Team Manager for the Mechanical Systems team, since current team manager has taken another role within Atlas Copco Industrial Technique. In this role you lead a team of engineers involved in product projects related to tightening systems for industry customers wordwide.

The Role

The Mechanical Systems team is responsible for the development of products and solutions for mechanical systems and embedded electronics used in industrial production to secure bolt tightening, for example in the automotive industry. The team is important for ensuring our ability to create innovative, flexible, sustainable and durable products over time. We also offer expertise knowledge and support within Additive Manufacturing for the entire R&D organization.


As team manager you have personnel responsibility for a team of around 12 engineers. You are responsible for the team budget and part of the management team in the Mechatronics Department. In collaboration with other teams and departments, you provide an inclusive and coaching leadership to the Mechanical Systems team. You empower the team members' growth and influence them to take positive action and being accountable for their work. You support the manning of our product projects with suitable competence within mechanics design and test. Another important task is to lead research and technology activities to increase customer value over time. Together with the team, you stay up to date with the latest technology and customer values through technical networks, customer visits and seminars.


What we expect from you

A technical academic degree within mechanics, mechatronics or similar
Experience from a leading and coaching role within product development and industrialization
Interest in coordination of resources and networking
