About us
Service Technology operates in Volvo Cars Service Operations and is responsible for making life less complicated for consumers by supplying service providers with safe, sustainable and efficient service technology solutions. This responsibility goes all the way from product creation to implementation in the markets and includes the areas of spare parts, maintenance & repair instructions as well as tools & equipment used by service providers globally.
About the role
We operate as an Agile Release Train (ART) and need talented people on board. People with passion, energy, business sense and the drive to innovate and change the car usage experience. This may be an excellent opportunity for you to take on a new challenge! We are searching for an engaged Team Manager with perceptive leadership skills. To succeed in this role, we believe you need a passion for leading and developing others, enjoy empowering people and embrace an agile mindset and culture.
What you’ll do
You will be Team Manager for team members that are technical experts in the area of developing maintenance & repair instructions including time estimations used in workshops globally. You will be responsible for empowering others, facilitating how the teams handle uncertainty and energizing the workforce. You will be in charge of developing the competence of your team members, and establishing a People plan together with other Team Managers to match our product roadmap for the short, mid and long term.
Your further responsibilities are to support, challenge and develop the organization and culture, as well as be responsible for staffing our product teams so they can meet current and future demands in our ongoing commercial transformation.
As a Team Manager, you will be working close together with other agile leaders in a unity of three where a Product Owner focuses on technology and priorities and a Scrum Master focuses on optimizing processes and team development. You will also be a member of the management team at our ART. We believe that we are stronger as a team and we share the responsibility of developing our products and our product teams.
You and your skills
We believe you have a University Degree or equivalent experience and are fluent in English (written and spoken). You have leadership experience, preferrable from automotive industry and are used to develop others by coaching and mentoring.
Having experience from leading people working within technical development is qualifying for the position. Experience and good understanding of Agile Frameworks and Agile ways of working is a requirement.
We are looking for a leader with excellent communication skills that create clarity and an open and trusting environment. You are result driven and structured in your approach.
