About our R&D – Complete SW & Electronics Test and Integration
Volvo Cars is taking a bold lead with electrification in the auto industry. Our department was established to take lead in the coming challenges with electronics test and integration on a complete level. The department is highly prioritized, and we are facing a new exciting stage.
We are now expanding our test, integration and SW factory community and are looking for two team managers to help us recruit and develop our teams.
The mission in our teams is to:
* bring integration driven development and test into product creation to continuously demonstrate that we deliver the best electrical system in the automotive world
secure a stable and robust electrical system for Volvo Car’s new SW and electronics platforms
To succeed in our mission, we need a solid Team Manager with a passion for coaching teams and people within embedded software systems in large-scale software development organizations or within software and electronics test and integration.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for a team of 20-30 dedicated members. In your role as a manager of these, you’ll be responsible of recruiting for future key competences, creating development opportunities as well as establish a long-term competence development. You’ll support the group in their day-to-day work, secure software integration, test-strategy development and fault- and actively participate in the department’s management group.
The group will consist of teams working across R&D with one or more of the following areas:
* Software factory development including configuration management and tool-set development
* Test development on complete node or complete electrical system level
* Rig development on complete node or complete electrical system level
Strategies related to test, continuous integration and configuration management
As a Team manager you have a solid background and a hands-on practice within one or more of those areas. You have a strong people-centric view and have the ability to build and support strong empowered teams with a high level of specialist competence. You are a supportive and have the ability to lead through people, listen and coach and are motivated by creating new solutions together with cross-functional teams. Also, we believe that you are creative, communicative, analytical and curious and are driven by finding new ways forward by supporting your teams in delivering to the best of their ability.
Qualifications/skills:
* Senior leadership experience from working on SW or test and integration in large scaled software developing organization
* Senior management experience from leading organizations with complex tasks and coaching empowered agile teams
* At least 8 years of experience from working with embedded software systems and software test and integration
* M.Sc in Electrical and Software Engineering or similar relevant experience
Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and/or English
Meritorious:
* Experience of implementation of CI pipelines for SW development
* Experience of implementation of CM for SW development
* Software coding experience
* Testing experience
* Agile frameworks and development such as SAFe
Driver’s license (B-level)
Personal qualities:
* Leadership profile with the ability to motivate and delegate

* Strong communication and interaction skills
