The transport industry is undergoing a paradigm shift. Technological developments will over time revolution the relationship Scania has with its customers and the company’s role in the transport value chain. Through this transformation Scania will adapt from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to also being a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Mobility Solutions is our new business area with the mission to lead Scania’s ambition to take a larger role in the transport ecosystem. Today Mobility Solutions primarily focus on driving Scania’s autonomous transport roadmap and providing Transport-as-a-Service (LOTS Group). Tomorrow, we look to develop and deliver new businesses supporting Scania’s long-term growth and profitability through our new Corporate Venturing function.

Elain is a one year old start-up that has gone from idea to business. Financed and owned by Scania and hosted by Scania Ventures at Mobility Solutions, Elaine is now entering the scale stage for commercialization. Elain is a digital platform for tracking and visualising CO2 emissions from primary data sources. The dashboard facilitates informed decisions by providing comprehensive insights, and showcases sustainability performance enabling competitive advantage. The team works in an agile way where pivoting is part of the day-to-day business.

We are searching for a team oriented Frontend Developer to advance our digital platform to meet customer expectations and facilitate their journey towards more sustainable transport. You will work closely with the other four team members in this young, close-knit and driven team to take our business to the next level.

Your role

You’ll work as a Frontend Developer to design, schedule, build, and deliver new and enhanced moderately complex portals/websites to achieve the agreed plan in terms of quality, cost, and timing and create an engaging website. You’ll have to identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them. A plus is if you can support the implementation of differentiating customer experience initiatives, tools, and processes, including customer experience testing as well as contributing to the understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations by reporting and providing feedback on client interaction.

The first version of the dashboard is up and running for carriers to monitor the sustainability performance of their fleet. An upcoming task will be to take this dashboard to the next level with added functionalities and design to meet customer expectations. You will have support from our other two developers, but will be the sole responsible for frontend development. Since we are a small team it will also be needed of you to contribute in other areas such as business development and partner and customer interaction.

The role suits you who prefer an entrepreneurial approach and limited organizational constraints.

Necessary skills are JAVA script, html and CSS. Angular skills is meriting.

A Bachelor in relevant engineering area is appreciated, but not mandatory.
