Right now, we have an exciting opportunity available as a Team and Product Manager for the Data Core & Service Development department within Data Platforms product area. If you are looking for a combination of developing both digital products and people, this is the perfect role for you. The current organization is newly formed and as such you will have a unique opportunity to join the journey from the start and really make an impact to our product as well as your own role and position.
What you’ll do
As a Team and Product Manager you are end-to-end accountable for digital deliveries within your delivery scope, that are prioritized within the product area – both from an operational and development point of view. It is your job to own and communicate the product vision and strategy for the product cluster by that serving as the “content authority” and for defining and prioritizing the product cluster backlog over releases. You understand, drive and control the financial aspects of the product cluster as well as the people delivering over time.
You will help stakeholders understand the effects of prioritization decisions, and work with them to prioritize the feature backlog so that we produce the most valuable product, one release at a time. You also work with product owners to optimize feature delivery to the customers in balance with the enterprise’s technical and economic objectives. You will also have accountability for defining and maintaining the release roadmaps and proper functioning of release planning sessions.
You will work with other product managers and product owners on cross program requirements and dependencies and be responsible for delivering releases for your product cluster. You will assist product owners and their teams in understanding the business needs and you are available to product owners when they need clarifications. You also actively help teams remove impediments they cannot remove themselves and are responsible for the proper working of the product cluster including operational stability. On top of that you display dynamic leadership working with leads throughout the organization role-modelling innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, growth and success and last but not least you nurture the “we culture” within the product cluster.
At Data & Analytics within Data Platforms you will also be part of the leadership team and help deliver on our purpose. You will specifically for Data Platforms in the product area be responsible for driving development and enabling data management platform components including all that is needed to secure quality data access for a high number of business-critical company needs. You do this by leading the provision of services to support the management and delivery of the business data that provides business insights and intelligence via analytics and visualization and also global data access to quality data.
You and your skills
To be successful in this role you need to have previous senior leadership roles and experience in the Data Management and Analytics area in larger enterprise set-up. Working with and combining SAP, Salesforce, Sharepoint with Data Management Platforms would be on the merit list. We also believe that you have experience in leading suppliers on and offshore in data management deliveries. We also hope that you have a good understanding on how a modern data management environment in the cloud would look like including global distribution and access to the data, and how to establish system availability via both reactive and proactive measurements. Understanding of and experience from how to drive efficiency and modernization to reduce cost and risk is also a plus.
You have a good balance between strategic platform thinking in combination with an operational stability mindset. You are a person that looks upon accountability and quality as a signature mark of everything you do. You have an open mind for change and innovation, and a willingness to learn and adapt. You have a service mind built in your DNA, a strong business acumen, and have a positive mindset and are always eager to find solutions rather than outlining problems. Lastly, we think that you share our passion for cars and development in the automotive industry.
