Who are we?


Electromobility is the global development center within the Volvo Group for electric drivelines. We develop zero emission propulsion systems making a difference for the Volvo Group’s customers and society as a whole.


What do we do?


At the Energy and Storage System, ESS, section we´re responsible for the complete battery solution. At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase. In the Electrics & Electronics team we´re looking for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer. The Electrics & Electronics team is part of our agile set up where we build on team members strengths and complement each other to become a successful team and have fun at work.


What will you do?


At Electromobility you will have all the advantages from Volvo Group being a large international company, but in combination with all benefits from a tech startup. In this position you will lead the team that handles requirement brake down and validation of electrical safety, EMC(both higher and lower voltages), Functional safety in HW and electrical robustness. Participate in setting and implementing the Electrical Design guidelines and requirements for and together with projects and other technology teams within ESS. You and your team will be working on the component level and of course align with other teams in Volvo that also specializes in this area for other component but also on System level.


Who are you?


To succeed in the role as Lead Engineer Electrics & Electronics we believe that you have the following background:
MSc. Engineering.
Several years in similar positions
Extensive experience from managing and validating EMC, Electrical Safety, Electrical Robustness and Functional safety in Automotive.
Deep knowledge in Electrical robustness, EMC, Electrical safety and Automotive functional safety.
Documented experience from Automotive Electrical Design a plus is of course experience from Electromobility area at other manufacturers.



As a person you are a leader and a problem solver, you drive for results and have no problem in dividing problems into chunks that can be grasped by you or your team. You are quick to pick up technical details, structured and have a good sense for planning both your individual work but also support and coach your team in structuring theirs. You are curious and no stranger to tinkering.
