A glimpse of what you would get here
At Zettle, we believe in using the best tools for the task and that's why we continuously review our toolkit, architecture and ways of working. In this spirit, our Team is currently migrating parts of its stack from a monolithic legacy solution built with Ruby to a micro-frontend architecture with React, to improve performance, scalability and user experience.
While doing this, the team is also involved in high-level architectural discussions regarding upcoming unification and integration between other PayPal systems and services.
Should you accept it, your mission is to:
Drive the architectural direction of our tech stack by working closely with your colleagues inside as well as outside the team;
Take an active part in system design and support and mentor other developers in discussions and decision making;
Design, implement and maintain platform features together with the team;
Ensure a high level of quality, usability and maintainability of the (reusable) components and code;
Help improving our infrastructure and build tools to ensure a great developer experience for all web developers within Zettle;
Experiment and learn about the latest tools, technology and processes.
The skills to succeed

Expertise within build tools and infrastructure for frontend web development;
Good knowledge about backend development, API:s and cloud services such as AWS;
Great communication and collaboration skills combined with a solid experience working in a diverse and agile environment.
The traits to exceed
We believe that you are a great teammate known for your inner ability to take and solve technical challenges for a common purpose. Grounded and humble, you naturally share your knowledge, experience and opinions without ever losing sight of the importance for everyone to have a chance to contribute to the team's success. Lastly, you make it fun.
Earn extra points with...
