Tech Lead R&D Engineer

We are now looking for a Tech Lead R&D Engineer to a permanent position in an International Company on the West Coast of Sweden.

Position

The Tech Lead will be leading projects directed towards product development, exploring and developing new concepts and materials. This position will also comprise interaction/support to technical and manufacturing teams.

Responsibillity

The Tech Lead will work with designing/ performing/ coordinating products/ tests and experiments. The position will also work with troubleshooting on problems concerning new products related to design, material, or process.

The Tech Lead will work with Product Engineering/ Technical/ Manufacturing to ensure that any changes are acceptable and also interact with customers as needed as well as understand product application and performance requirements. Produce technical documentation for internal and external use. Traveling will be required to perform assignments.

Requirements

You must have a Degree in Materials/ Chemical Engineering or related subjects. Ability and experience in leading a team within Innovation and R&D is a plus. The position requires that you have an industrial experience.

Good knowledge of thermal, chemical and mechanical tests for materials and experience in characterization and understanding of surfaces. Knowledge with polymer chemistry, Surface Topography and Materials Processing are strong merits as well as experience in coating and lamination of substrates is a merit. Experience in leading people or in projects is a plus.

Personal Profile

You should be capable of understanding and utilizing new technologies. Comfortable with working and leading a group as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have good leadership skills. Strong communication skills and will easily cooperate with others. Speak and write English fluently is a must and knowledge of Swedish language is a merit.
