We are looking for a Tech Ops Director for our Global Services business, to drive product technical operations from early design activity, to new product development, to daily customer support. Do you have a passion for Service Design and Engineering? Then we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
In this senior leadership role you will be responsible for the activities of the Service R&D group, Global Service Engineering groups (X2) and the Global Remote Services group (including the Online Center).
Drive the development of Service design standards, the service readiness of Cytiva New Product Developments (NPD) and the Daily technical support to our customers and field services teams
Ensures that Cytiva products are designed to be easy, fast and low-cost to serve
Drive operational excellence in remote service: ensures proper FTE through OLE scheduling, develops integrated remote workflow & tools, secures asset’s connectivity uptime
Enabling of rapid and effective resolution of field technical issues: link specialists to global experts, enable access to R&D Subject Matter Expert, drive faster and more effective resolutions
Technical product knowledge development beyond training: knowledge cases sharing and knowledge database feeding, development & usage
Develop Service talent within the organization and implement best practices in Innovation, and Product support
Define and Monitor KPIs and metrics to measure the impact of Service Design & Support on Cytiva Core Value Drivers and Customer CTQ's
Drive operational excellence in the Service design by implementing continuous improvement methodologies to identify, evaluate, and deploy process improvement opportunities in a sustainable and measurable way focusing on Speed, Quality and Cost.
Establish a continuous feedback loop with field service teams, regional leaders and product managers to champion design thinking approach to solve frequent failures and quality issues
Who you are
Master Degree in Engineering, Service or similar field
Significant years of working experience as either Engineering leader in industrial systems engineering or as an Operational leader with Services in high-tech industry
Excellent Project/Portfolio Leadership skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, proven record to build strong relationships across different groups, with the ability to effectively influence and communicate across various business units and at senior levels
Deep understanding of / curiosity for technology (including digital -data science for instance-)
Understanding of best practices in innovation, portfolio management, Customer and Service centric approach to product development
Strong drive for excellence, passion for people and team development
Ability to work across a large global organization and to deal with commercial teams across 35 countries or so
Ability to influence key doers / stakeholders across the different Cytiva functions (R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance)
Experience maintaining metrics and budgets
Strategy Development and execution expertise
Ability to Travel ~30% of the time when required
