Description
The client are looking for a Product Designer to be part of their “Availability” team. This is a new product team within Product Exploration area started with the aim to accelerate their ability in guiding their customers in finding the assortment they want with the right availability - regardless of when, how and where they want it.
You will be part of building this new team from the ground up and set agenda for the intersection between stores, digital and assortment. The work is done in close collaboration with other product teams and retail space departments.
Work tasks:
- Help define the vision for digital experiences by empathizing with the customers and understand the challenges and opportunities within this space.
- Plan and propose the right research methodologies and prepare and facilitate the associated research activities and distill and document the output.
- Capture and document a deep understanding of our customers' needs, wants, behaviors and emotions in outputs such as customer journey maps, personas as well as support production of prototypes.
- Shape a shareable understanding of how customers experience our products combined with market insights, technical constraints and business needs to inform the creation of designs that surprises, delights and delivers through amazing experiences.
- Champion and embed research data as a vital element of the product delivery agile life cycle.
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Brand- and Visual Designers, Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and other stakeholders.
- Take opinions and emotions out of the process by bringing to life the true customer voice into the room.
Mandatory competence and experience:
- Proven professional with 5+ years of experience in research and analysis in the digital space.
- Experience with retail, fashion or comparable consumer brands.
- A strong understanding of usability and user experience
- Experience with a variety of different user research methods applied across the product development process.
- Ability to translate user insights into actions formulated to fit an agile product methodology.
Preferred personal qualities:
- Passionate about understanding the users' needs, motivations, behaviors and are able to translate them into actionable deliverables
- Excellent communicator able to articulate design rationale with solid analytical thinking and problem-solving capability - you love to simplify the complex.
- Engaged, open minded and ambitious team player willing to share and learn
