The Tech Support team, a part of BU Hofors Marketing and Sales department, are searching for a new colleague.

The Marketing and Sales department are responsible for the sales of the BUs products, seamless tubes, seamless rings and billets which is used around the globe in bearing, heavy vehicles, automotive and engineering industries.

Tech Support are the technical cog between customer and BU, working alongside both production and sales personnel as well as directly to customers. We are now looking for a new team member eager to give our customers the best possible support and further our businesses.

What you get
You will be a part of a five people team responsible to drive and support our business activities with technical excellence. We aim to work as an agile team. All team members having dedicated customer responsibilities, bigger customers we strive to divide between two team members sharing the responsibilities with one team member owning the overarching responsibility. To enhance growth of the team members expertise and ensuring backups have each team member dedicated product segments as areas of expertise.
Traveling is included in the position.

Role description
As a Tech Support team member, you will have a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities to further our business:

- Responsibility to support and drive business activities in relation to customer and product with technical expertise.
- Capture the customer's technical problems and create opportunities for developing products and applications.
- Participate in and run projects with our sales units and / or customers - to help customers utilize the strength of our products and develop the customer’s applications.
- Educate salespeople, agents and customers in Ovako’ s products.
- Participate in customer visits, seminars and exhibitions, as well as assist with technical expertise on quotes / requests and contract reviews.
- Manage and comment on specifications as well as handle deviations and complaints.

Your profile
You are a person that can take on new tasks and develop your own network. You enjoy working in teams and you can lead a cross-functional team in a project.

You are good at contacting people and make them feel comfortable - as a trusted advisor.

- Technical background with education at university level, materials, metallurgy or mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge and some years of experience from manufacturing in a process industry.
- English in spoken and writing is necessary and essential for communication.
- Good proficiency in Swedish is preferred.
