Technical Architect

What you will do

As a Technical Architect you are part of the infrastructure team that is responsible for the Platform where our custom built software resides. The team is responsible for the tooling used to boilerplate and speed up software development, but it’s encouraged that the developers themselves also help out with tooling.

You are meant to spend time with the different teams when developing features as a serverless architecture subject matter expert (SME). It is encouraged that you are participating in coding so you get hands-on experience with the tools you help provide and be an evangelist for how to use it to write clean and well architectured code.

To be an SME it’s important to stay well informed. You are expected to proactively and continuously keep learning in subjects that are relevant and keep an open dialogue with service teams at AWS.

MatHem gets invited as speakers to technical events from time to time. It’s encouraged, but not mandatory, to present at a few of those events.

Responsibilities

• Being responsible that the Platform is stable and scalable and a fit to our software
• Provide tooling that helps speed up development as well as enforce clean and well architectured code
• Being a subject matter expert and evangelist for serverless architecture and how to use the tooling provided
• Working hands-on in teams to implement features
• Co-leading the Serverless Architecture “Interest Group” e.g.

• • Representatives from teams
• • Drive awareness within and between the teams
• • Possibly align on Architecture
• • Identify good sources of knowledge and influence
• • Monthly QA sessions/presentation for dev group

Wishlist

• Have 3+ years of experience working with similar tasks
• BSc or higher in a technology field
• Have understanding or micro services and cloud computing (preferably AWS)
• Have experience from hands on software development
• Have a good understanding of clean and well architectured code
• Good communication skills, written and orally
• You have a work permit, you live in EU and are willing to relocate to Stockholm
