Technology Area Engineer Feminine
At Essity we are now, for our Technology organization, looking for a Technology Area Engineer within the category Feminine products.
About the role
As Technology Area Engineer Feminine you will be part of an international team of 5 people (2 in Mexico, 1 in Slovakia and 2 in Sweden), and you will report to the Technology Category Director Feminine Care.
Technology aims at setting strong Technology strategy to bring our Personal Care and Tissue businesses to a new level. In this context, we are looking for a Technology Area Engineer Feminine. You will have overall responsibility to provide global machine technology solutions that meets cost, performance, safety and lead time requirements in assigned projects and all other activities with a significant impact on Essity’s global manufacturing base. You hold the responsibility to support in developing the global machine platform strategy’s and to execute the strategic targets and objectives in any assigned projects or activities through partnership and cooperation with external machine suppliers.
What You Will Do
Ensure alignment between technology deliverable´s and BU's CBN targets in assigned projects, securing an optimal balance between the need for innovation, asset flexibility, productivity, quality and ROCE.
Contribute to Platform Management development, Technology Network and Factory/supplier Root cause analysis, participating or leading to workshops and loss analysis activities.
Understand and apply DDS algorithm with the aim of helping the factories to step up in technology performance (ME, Stops, Waste, etc) and to feedback design improvement via Platform Management process.
Participate and actively contribute to develop the strategic machine platforms, improve and optimize the design via the technology network and the loss analysis process.
Represent the full supply chain organization in assigned Feasibility Studies and take technology ownership in development projects together with R&D, Innovation teams, Factories and Suppliers.
Actively steer and develop strategic machine suppliers within assigned projects, in line with available supplier performance GAP analysis and with Platform management process.
Take overall responsibility for planning and execution of production system validations in assigned projects, including definition of acceptance criteria.
Secure manufacturability aspects in assigned projects, resulting in a minimized investment need, reduced manufacturing complexity, reduced size change over times, etc.
Provide input to Capex requests documentation regarding full technology scope including equipment cost.
Manage technology related intellectual property topics within projects. Both by securing that proposed solutions are not infringing external Intellectual Property rights as well as capturing any opportunity for filing new Essity patents.
Who You Are
University Degree in Project Management, Science, Mechanical, Electrical or related fields with relevant practice.
Strong technical background with relevant experience. Experience from manufacturing operations, technology and/ or R&D (Preferably 5-7 years but there is an openness for different levels). Suitable backgrounds for candidates for this role are technical managers, project managers, industrial engineers, production managers, process engineers or department manager.
Commercial and financial knowledge to prepare, manage and forecast operational and CAPEX requests.
Experience from external supplier relations (not mandatory) and ability to steer and drive them.
Experience in quality assurance methods (E.g. Six Sigma) and in loss analysis and problem-solving methods.
Experience in managing a multi-functional international team (even not direct reports) in challenging work environments.
Fluent in English.

This role requires 30% - 50% of travel (depends on where you are located).
