Box Dragon is a new PC game development studio founded by game dev veterans from Riot Games and Stunlock Studios. We’re located in Gothenburg and backed by Coffee Stain. Our team has over 30 years combined game dev experience and each member of our team comes from a different background.
We each bring something unique to the table and we have a passion for sharing stories. We make games around the idea of novel fun for our players; we craft emergent experiences in stylized worlds supported by system-driven gameplay. As Technical Artist at Box Dragon, you will work with artists and programmers to realize our art style in Unreal Engine. In the process, you will help research, manage and evolve the art content creation pipeline in collaboration with our artists. You will assist the art team with achieving the desired look in-engine, guiding and assisting them in the creation of materials and assets.
We’re a small team, so you will have the opportunity to express yourself in your work and hone your craft by working on a wide variety of challenges.
This is a permanent full-time in-studio position based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Responsibilities
Research, manage and evolve the art content creation pipeline in collaboration with our artists
Assist the art team with achieving the desired look in-engine, guiding and assisting them in the creation of materials and assets.
Requirements
Experience using Unreal Engine in the game industry
Knowledge of current 3D rendering principles and shaders
Understanding of PBR content and rendering pipelines
Understanding of asset creation pipelines and workflows.
Knowledge of 3D content creation software such as Blender and Substance Painter
Excellent communication skills in English, our company language, which will enable you to collaborate effectively with your peers
