We are looking for an experienced Technical Cleanliness Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Quality team based in Skellefteå.
About the job
Manufacturing of Battery Cells requires a high level of cleanliness of the manufacturing environment and process. This is accomplished with the use of controlled environments over the manufacturing process, specially designed equipment, and strict cleaning routines of the machines and the areas. The controlled environments can be clean and dry rooms (for the critical process steps) but also other high cleanliness grades rooms.
You will in part be responsible for the monitoring and validation of these areas, equipment and activities is critical for the production of a safe and high quality product. As the technical cleanliness engineer you will perform the cleanroom cleaning validations and contamination monitoring activities, analyses the samples with the help of Quality Control, and assist on root cause analysis for contamination excursions and ensures that the cleaning procedures of the production operators and cleaning team personnel are carried out and in the correct manner. Finally, the technical cleanliness engineer proposes improvements to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality and efficient operations at NV Ett AB from a technical cleanliness perspective.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform audits and oversee the cleanroom validation and monitoring activities according to ISO 14644 for the room and the machines. Audit the good working order of the cleanroom operations (HVAC system, gowning, cleanroom cleaning, machine cleaning, materials entry and exit etc) and the relevant controlled environments
Perform cleaning validation/contamination control and monitoring activities (particle and chemical contamination sampling)
Ensure all currently implemented work instructions (WI) are followed for his/her field
Fills in the protocols and reports for his/her activities
Support the Incoming Quality Control and Supplier Quality with audits of the suppliers, setting requirements, and performing measurements on the incoming material and methods to improve the quality of the incoming material, outbound goods, packaging etc.
Supports Customer Quality regarding customers audits
Perform training regarding technical cleanliness
Communicates the objectives status and deviations to the Process Quality Manager

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
*A science degree in Chemical-Electrical-Mechanical-Automation Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics etc
At least 3 years experience with cleanroom validation & contamination control activities in battery manufacturing or relevant industries
Excellent knowledge of:
ISO14644 - Cleanrooms and controlled environments and cleanroom practices (from other roles in industries with controlled environments such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, micro-electronics, battery production, food, laboratories etc.)
VDA 19 Part 1 - Inspection of technical cleanliness
VDA 19 Part 2 - Technical cleanliness in Assembly
ISO 16232 Road vehicles - Cleanliness of components of fluid circuits
ZVEI - guidelines for technical cleanliness in electrical engineering
Excellent English written and oral skills
Bonus points for:
Experience in industrial HVAC systems in construction, maintenance, validation
Experience within quality and good knowledge in technical writing and reviewing of Work Instructions and Validation documents
Experience with clean/controlled environments in the automotive industry
Experience in analytical techniques for Technical Cleanliness
Basic knowledge of the battery production & the contamination risks per process
Experience in health and safety in similar environments
