Technical Director

10 Chambers is a fully funded scale-up game studio backed by Tencent and based in the beautiful city of Stockholm, Sweden. We are an ambitious, creative, and collaborative team with a lifelong love for games.
We are continuing the development of our first game GTFO but have now also entered pre-production of our next project, a cooperative heist FPS set in a techno-thriller world. Originated and directed by Ulf Andersson, the creator of Payday.
We are now looking for a Technical Director to support our programming team and be responsible for the overall technical health of our projects.
What you will do
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our technical architecture
Implement workflows to optimize team efficiency and minimize pain points.
Identify and implement tools and utilities to improve team productivity.
Take ownership of efforts to improve stability through automated testing, optimized branching strategies, and other stability-focused initiatives.
Monitor system performance and takes action to ensure that our games are well-optimized on all supported platforms
Proactively seek ways to improve compile and build times.
Enforce code standards, naming conventions, and best practices to promote code quality.
Manage the use of external code in projects to ensure proper vetting and management.
Provide mentorship and guidance to leads and assist with hiring to build a strong and cohesive team.

Required Qualifications
10+ years of professional game development experience, including several years in a technical leadership role.
Strong understanding of game development technologies and tools, including game engines, scripting languages, graphics APIs, and networking protocols.
Experience managing large-scale game development projects with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to design and implement scalable and reliable software systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with artists, designers, producers, and other stakeholders.
Great problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Excellent English, both written and verbal (Swedish is not a requirement)
