Technical Director - Toca Life World

Toca Life World has millions (and millions) of users around the world with more and more kids discovering the app every day. In order to keep them happy, and for Toca Life World to stay successful, we need to iterate and innovate - That’s where you come in.

As the Tech Director for Toca Life World you’ll be the one who drives the change needed in order to make sure that Toca Life World is a scalable and secure platform for the future.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll own the technical vision and set the strategic direction for Toca Life World’s technical platform. But you won't be alone, you will collaborate with tech leads and architects in setting this up.

You’ll support the team by ensuring sustainable development processes and workflows. You will support and coach the tech leads.

You’ll work closely together with Aron, our Lead Producer, in setting the roadmap, recruitment etc.

You’ll be the one to assess if we have the technical capabilities to create the features we want to create and the cost for those. You’ll be responsible for technical reporting and stakeholder metrics.
Is this you?
You have experience working in technical leadership roles and have lots of experience from the game industry. You have previously worked as a developer and you know what great system architecture looks like, especially in live games.

You have experience with Unity, or other game engines, and understand them on a high level.

This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office. We apply 6 months of probationary employment. As we’re an international company, with over 10 nationalities and millions of users all over the world, you have to be fluent in English. Your application should therefore be in English.
