About the role
We are on a journey together which means there is no clear path. You will play an important role in setting the foundation and creating our future organisation. As a Technical Engineer you build and maintain technology platforms to enable software solutions to be deployed and run independently by the software engineers. ​Regardless of area, tools or languages, you as an technical engineer builds and/or configures solutions that are easy to maintain and change, enabling a constant delivery pace to be kept indefinitely. ​
Responsibilities
You will work alongside experienced engineers in an agile team, with the responsibility for designing, implementing and maintaining technology platforms to enable software solutions which fulfills our customers shopping experience. You will define and change the platform architecture based on the needs of the stakeholders and new technologies and innovations
Some of your daily work includes:
Provide tools and support to software and data engineers
Develop and implement stable and scalable software systems that improves availability and reduces latency of systems or products/services​
Provide options for how the solution could be evolved to provide even more value​
Actively apply best practices within CI/CD​
Drive refactoring of legacy systems, to help enable decoupling and modernize the software architecture​
Ensure high quality of developed technical solutions​

We believe you are
Our journey will lead to something new and exciting - we will test, fail and learn. You are an important player in this transformation; therefore, we believe you are flexible, stress-resistant and able to work in an environment that is not yet formalized.
Furthermore, we believe you have:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Some years of work experience within engineering, working with scripting language (e.g. Python or Java)
Demonstrated history of working with architecture, cloud, networks, Server, IT-security and scripting/code according to agile practices.
Experienced in at least one cloud solution like Azure, AWS or GCP
Knowledge in DevOps and automation solutions
Network skills (e.g.TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH Skills)
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as understand and translate business requirements
