Passionate for software and system integration, but with a growing desire to make an impact and change our world for the better? At Greenbyte, we fight climate change with code. And now, we are looking for a Technical Integration Specialist to join our Installations team.

About Greenbyte

Greenbyte is delivering an industry-leading SaaS (Software as a Service) application to owners and operators of renewable energy plants around the world so that they can optimize their production and monitor assets effectively.

Our cloud platform communicates in real-time with thousands of renewable energy assets around the world and collects their data, which is visualized in a modern cloud-based web system. As one of Sweden’s fastest-growing tech companies, we're on a mission to push the renewable energy revolution forward and work closely together to accomplish great things.

About the Installations Team

As part of the Integration Services department, the Installations team’s mission is to deliver a premium end-to-end integration experience to our customers. We are responsible for installing new renewable assets, such as wind or solar sites, onto the Greenbyte Platform. Also, we take care of the operational environment for the installation process and data ingestion infrastructure.

We are made up of hard-working, fun-loving people who are passionate about making the world better. We are a very international team spread across multiple locations, with a team spirit that is truly hard to beat! We work with agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.

What will you be doing?

As a Technical Integration Specialist (TIS), you will face a variety of tasks related to the integration and installation of renewable energy assets and their data into the Greenbyte Platform.

Typical installation-activities involve interacting with our lovely customers to gather all information needed, setting up connectivity between the renewable energy site’s SCADA system, and configuring the assets and their data signals in the Greenbyte Platform. You will work with TCP/IP, SQL, FTP, HTTP, SSH, and various other digital communication protocols.

You will also be responsible for managing projects of smaller scope from start to end together with our customers and work closely with other Greenbyte teams, such as the Integration Engineering team, Customer Success, and the Support team.

Furthermore, we are constantly striving to improve our infrastructure, processes, and data quality of renewable energy assets. You will be part of operations & improvement projects that we run in parallel to the installation work.

It goes without saying that in this role you’ll get to know the renewable energy industry and are able to develop your skills further through internal and external learning events.

Who are we looking for?

- Relevant technical education or proven professional experience
- Experience in networking, routing, and common network protocols
- Experience with Linux and Windows network stack and protocols
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Knowledge of REGEX, working with different file types, e.g. JSON, XML, Excel, CSV
- Analytical skills with the ability to assess problems and learn new domains.

We see it as an extra plus if you have experience with the following:

- Industry protocols: OPC, Modbus, Ejabberd, IEC104, RestAPI’s, etc.
- Cloud services, particularly AWS
- Experience and/or interest in renewable energy

We are looking for a team member who is systematic and autonomous - but who also enjoys being a part of a tight-knit team. You feel comfortable assisting customers in understanding technical integration and networking details and enjoy the feeling of well-running systems where the bits and bytes are flowing smoothly.

Overall, we need fierce but humble people to help us achieve our ambitious plan.

Greenbyte is delivering a state-of-the-art SaaS (Software as a Service) application to owners and operators of wind and solar power plants around the world.
