Scope of Role
As a Technical Lead for the Test Automation team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest levels of project delivery within the Embedded Solutions division at Europe. Your primary focus will be on test automation and quality assurance for Key and upcoming accounts in the Europe Region, with a specific emphasis on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. The work is done in close collaboration with CI team, HIL teams and Function Developer. As Lead Engineer, your responsibility is to lead and align the cross-functional engineering effort to meet time, technical and cost targets. With many interfaces, external as well as internal, this is a demanding but rewarding position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Technical Lead is responsible for leading the development with team of engineers responsible for the Scope of Work. This includes setting project goals, timelines and priorities on a plan delegated by Software Integration Leader.
The Technical Lead is responsible and accountable for the team deliveries according to the agreed project milestones set by Software Integration Leader and agreed with project steering committee and providing status updates on those agreed project milestones. The Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in driving proactive development efforts, leading the team to resolve technical challenges, and identifying opportunities for the team to provide support beyond the defined scope of work. Effective communication and stakeholder interaction are essential aspects of the Technical Lead’s responsibilities to ensure project success.
Analyze Continuous Integration (CI) runs and identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability and accuracy of testing processes.
Support team in developing automated test scripts for the core rig, encompassing both HIL testing and continuous integration environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing solutions within the project development lifecycle.
Desired Skills:
Strong experience in System Integration Level (SIL), Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing methodologies.
Experience in Vector HW setup.
Proficiency in virtualization and familiarity with ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination).
Proficient in tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK/STATEFLOW, Visual Studio, Systemweaver, GIT/Gerrit, Jenkins, PowerBI, Canoe, VTestStudio.
Basic in programming languages including Python, Bash, M-Script, C/C++, and Embedded C for efficient test automation and scripting.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment, effectively communicate across teams, and present technical insights to stakeholders.
Knowledge / Experience
Essential:
· At least 5 years’ experience in similar areas with an embeeded background with 5 years of relevant experience in Software Development or Test Automation.
· Should have prior-experience and skills in Automotive Embeeded area with knowledge such as CAN/LIN/Flexray/Ethernet.
· Experience of Scrum and working with remote teams across the globe.
· Excellent communications skills demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
· Experience of Hardware in the loop testing.
· Master Degree in Software Engineering or Electronics Engineering
