We are currently looking for a Technical Lead for the Digital Aftermarket team. This role will lead engineering teams including senior and junior engineers, full-stack, front-end and back-end.

Let us describe the challenge we offer

The Technical Lead is responsible for the execution of deliverables and roadmap for a digital product/service/platform. The Tech Lead is also translating business objectives set by Digital Lead and DPM into technical deliverables and features, as such, the TL is an executor and the visionary force behind the technical solution.

You will be part of the Vehicle Services and Quality team and lead the technical work for the platform that will allow us to enable preventive and predictive maintenance of our vehicles to improve the customer ownership experience of Polestar services and products. The purpose of the area is the digital enablement of customer services and quality management for Polestar. This newly established area will grow over time to enable the next step in Polestar's growth. The Vehicle Services and the Quality team is responsible for developing and maintaining digital solutions that will enable Polestar service partners to provide customers with the best car service and repair experience and predict quality issues during the vehicle lifecycle. The team is also responsible for digital solutions for quality and warranty management.

Polestar’s tech stack is modern and free from legacy constraints, mainly based around: Node.js, Typescript, React.js, GraphQL, .NET Core, C#. Applications run in AWS on a serverless architecture using lambda functions and services such as DynamoDB.

What you'll do

As a technical lead, you will be responsible for daily execution and planning within the digital team, including coordinating and delegating the team’s responsibilities (requirements, architecture, deliveries, quality, etc) and working proactively to remove obstacles to team deliverables. Expectations are high, but most who work here will benefit from an intensive learning experience. Teams are expected to adopt a true tech-first, product-focused approach. For many, the autonomy at Polestar is liberating, challenging and unusual.

For example, you will:

- Highlight resourcing needs to the Digital Lead (e.g., recruitment)

- Sett the Digital product’s technical direction in collaboration with the Solution Architect and align this with the Digital Lead

- Partner with the Digital Lead in feature creation and acceptance criteria, communicate trade-offs effectively with various competence groups (Service Designers, UX/UI Designers, Engineers, etc)

- Support the team with problem-solving, balancing priorities, and clarifying trade-offs, as well as establish/organize the team’s development process, including releases, product demos, end-user training and workshops.

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:

- A seasoned senior engineer or technical lead with deep insight into the newest technologies and trends, as well as relevant programming and technology experience. Key technologies at Polestar include Python, SQL, Machin learning, Deep learning, NLP, Object detection, and classification algorisms

- Minimum 6 years experience as a Senior Data analysis or Senior Data Engineer with at least 3 years leading development teams

- Professional experience in Python programming including machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Scikit-learn and experience in developing scalable ML-based production systems, Databricks, MS Azure ML and MLOps

- Experience in applying and developing algorithms and methods for classification, regression, NLP and text embeddings, similarity learning, recommendations, and personalization

- Significant experience in developing end-to-end Data oriented Solutions and are familiar with data management, data security, and access control in the cloud
