About the role

Based in Malmö, your will act as technical owner of our products, solutions and technical components within the Cameras and Front-Door domain. You will focus on the soul of product engineering working together with the engineering teams across the stack to solve problems and to get the right solution in place in accordance with the business needs.

As a Technical Leader will have a key role in defining and delivering products for the next generation of the Verisure alarm system in an international environment where collaboration and ability to partner with our development teams located in Madrid and Malmö are among the most relevant building blocks of our success.

You are expected to lead the design and development of complex systems for mass production and to liaise with Product Management, Systems Engineering, SW and IT teams to run technical feasibility checks on the business inquiries as well as to reach and design optimal solutions. You will be asked to analyse the requirements set, break them down into feasible work packages and drive their design/delivery coherently and in accordance with the order of priority defined.

In your capacity of Technical Leader, you will drive the delivery and ensure a strategic collaboration with the Project Management team to assess and develop project schedule and milestones as well as to identify risks and mitigation plan. Additionally, you will write the technical requirements for our external vendors and teams cascading from the business and the core business requirements by keeping into consideration all the links existing in the stack, from HW components to embedded systems to the backend.

You will drive the resolutions of technical issues working with cross-functional teams and ensuring that such solutions, together with the requirements and the architecture, are properly documented.

The full team consists of approximately 35 persons: 25 software developers, 5 testers, 3 hardware engineers and 2 tech leads. 

About the candidate profile - What you bring

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for technology products and solutions. You are a flexible and solution-oriented problem solver with the ability to quickly get up to speed on a variety of technical subject matters.

Additionally, you are persistent and capable of following through led by your positive attitude and “can do” approach.

You enjoy leading in an agile fashion with an international mindset and bring high level of energy combined with outstanding communication skills and huge drive.

Qualifications
* University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar, preferably M.Sc.
* 5+ years of experience in consumer electronics including battery-operated products
* At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in the role
* Experience in both HW and SW Development
* Experience as a Project Leader/Manager working hands on with engineers is a merit.
* Experience in Systems Engineering, Solution Architect or Technical Product Management is a bonus
* Fluent in English
