Tetra Pak design and deliver packaging equipment and lines all over the world. In Lund we have a team developing and maintaining the Distribution Equipment such as Film Wrappers, Cardboard Packers, conveyors etc. We are striving for growth in a competitive equipment segment by being better than the alternatives in combination with leveraging on additional values of being fully integrated in the line. The Distribution Equipment team within Development & Engineering is now looking for a Technical Manager to strengthen the team.
We have fully migrated our way of working into Agile and Scrum and are responsible for the engineering part of the full life cycle of the equipment. The teams work in close collaboration with other teams as we have strong dependencies to the produced packages.
What you will do
As our new Technical Manager, you will be part of a team of highly qualified professionals and work in close collaboration with the development Scrum teams. Your role in the team will be Sub System Owner securing the fulfillment of the sub system specification, support the engineers in design decisions and scout/explore new technologies.
For the sub systems under your responsibility, you will:
· Have a full technical ownership and drive feasibility and impact analysis
· Identify gaps versus the specification and propose actions to close them
· Drive the technical plans based on identified gaps and opportunities
· Secure the quality and fulfilment of technical specification by giving a technical recommendation in review meetings
· Provide technical expert guidance and support to the development Scrum teams
· Support the Scrum teams in the Agile way of working
· Support innovation by scouting new technologies and suggesting activities to build technical know how
· Drive commonality and standardization
This position is based in Lund, Sweden, but you will work in a global arena. You will travel around 20% of your time.
Who you are
We are looking for a structured and analytical person with a strong mechatronic competence and interest. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and can engage others in a technical direction. You are not afraid of taking technical decisions and give recommendations to governance forums. You are reliable and hold yourself and others accountable for their commitments.
You are interested in what is best for our customers and can put yourself in their shoes. You constantly strive for improving the quality as well as delivering additional values through innovation. You are curious regarding new technologies and can spot opportunities and turn them into practical usage in our products.
You hold a minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering. You have minimum 5 years’ practical experience of having a leading role of in a team developing of mechatronic systems, preferably in the packaging industry and you have proven collaboration skills.
Your English skills are fluent, spoken as well as written.
