About the role
As Technical Manager at Essity you are responsible for actively conducting the safety- and work environment management as well as lead your department according to the company’s core values. You conduct the strategy and goals for the department and are responsible for various technical projects within maintenance, optimization and technical equipment. Your tasks also include developing standards for maintenance, systems and processes as well as increasing efficiency and reducing technology and maintenance costs.
Through your strategic and technical leadership you lead and develop a team of seven within mechanics and maintenance. You support collaboration and cross-functional work between the technical team and the production team and encourage creativity to achieve a sustainable technical development. You collaborate with regional teams internally and develop external relationships with for example suppliers and partners. You will be part of the sites management team, where you will have a close cooperation with four other leaders. This is a new position due to an increasing of staff.
What you will do
· Budget responsibility for your department
· Secure technical information and education at the site
· Be responsible for ensuring preventive maintenance and monitoring of the technical status of the machines
· Plan and secure external maintenance
· Develop the maintenance system
· Be responsible for spare parts strategy and handling of spare parts
· Contribute to investigations of quality issues
· Drive continuous improvements and development projects and follow up results
Who you are
· University Degree within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
· Experience of work within maintenance or equivalent
· Leadership experience
· Experience from working in a process industry, experience from a paper making industry is an advantage
· Fluent both verbal and written Swedish and English
· Good computer and system knowledge
