The development and deployment of Autonomous Transport Solutions present both opportunities and challenges. This is happening in a fast-paced world, where new technologies and business opportunities are emerging constantly, fundamentally reshaping the entire transport ecosystem. Traton is committed to delivering Autonomous Transport Solutions in the first wave with key partners in close collaboration with in-house specialists in agile workflows.
Balancing and optimizing an Autonomous Technical Strategy with input from business opportunities, legal demands (and legal possibilities), partners and in-house development in the Traton ATS Global development flow will be the challenge and opportunity in this position.
Your responsibilities
As a Technical Manager for Autonomous Systems Strategy, you will lead technical investigations that support decision-making for ATS Technical Strategy which is of significant importance to Traton.
You will understand the TS Development flow in-depth and how the output can be optimized by partner collaboration or other technical opportunities.
You will drive Traton-wide cross-site technical collaboration to find the fastest ways to meet the market needs and the technical challenges to meet the Autonomous legislation.
Mastering all of the above in a constantly changing landscape within autonomous and in collaboration with business colleagues, Technical Managers in connecting areas, flow leading positions and line management.
Your profile
• You are very experienced in autonomous transport solutions in general and technical autonomous strategies in particular, at a level corresponding to Senior engineer (T4) or Expert Engineer (T5)
• You have good communication skills and proven experience in reaching results in an agile workflow
• You motivate and inspire others by focusing on and communicating the big picture; direction and expected outcome. When needed, you don’t hesitate to deep dive into the technical details
• You keep well up to date with the latest technology trends in ATS and utilize this knowledge to maximise the customer-focused output of ATS development flow
• You probably have an university or higher education in Robotics, Applied mathematics, Machine learning or Similar
