Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The Diagnostics and Software Update VCT (Value Creation Team) has gathered diagnostic competence into one common flow in order to further extract the possibilities within the area. Our objectives span from developing and deliver world class SW applications used by R&D, Aftermarket and Production to creating harmonized diagnostic standards for the entre Traton group. This creates several interesting interfaces both within Scania and also towards other Traton brands. If you are interested to influence how we create and handle our diagnostic data and also interested to explore new ways to create future business using this data, this is the place to be.
For Scania, our people are our most valuable asset. The strong and supportive culture of Scania provides an organisational environment where each individual is seen, respected and can contribute. We trust each other to act and make decisions, and we believe in a more flexible future workplace based on individual needs.
Development happens naturally here; individuals, teams and our customer offerings have the support they need to grow. The result is an industry-leading company with motivated, dedicated people who want to be a part of driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system.
In our team - the Diagnostics Architecture group - we enable Scania to offer products with the diagnostic capabilities that keeps our products up to date, and on the road at all times. Your future job
As a Technical manager for Diagnostic Communication and Services, your work is an important element in the further development of Scania’s electrical system and services. The focus is in the future, to identify important capabilities and addressing this to product management, tools and methods for diagnostics and uptime by developing system design and selecting technical solutions.
Your task as a technical manager will be to work with the overall picture of the diagnostic communication and the diagnostic concept. To see what is missing and what we need in the future. You will play a big role in the work with the other brands in Traton and create a harmonized diagnostics solution for all brands.
If you thrive in cross-functional work environments, you will thrive here! The diagnostics architecture team is a small team with a great mix of background and knowledge with a combined excellent view on embedded systems, vehicle functions and diagnostics. We work together and with a wide development organization to build sustainable and balanced solutions.
To facilitate the big picture view needed in this job, you will be involved in all project phases, all the way from early concept development to production launch. You will work in an agile framework where your personal skills make a difference.
Your profile
You have a college or university degree in engineering and at least five years’ professional experience within embedded systems. Architecture experience in development of embedded systems is an advantage, and so is experience in vehicle diagnostics. You are fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English.
With your curiosity you will enjoy being part of a team that shares experiences as well as challenges. You will work closely together with multiple teams to achieve the common goal – to meet and exceed our customers’ demands. You are driven, cooperative and take responsibility to systematically develop the architecture of the system with a holistic view.
