Technical Manager with Mechanical Engineering background

Purpose of the job
The purpose of this position is to strengthen the design department with added mechanical engineering capabilities and at the same time and provide technical leadership in line with FMTs future direction. A key aspect of the role of the technical manager is to co-ordinate with other team members in different disciplines in the design process and bridge the gap between sales/project and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership to 2-3 engineers
Lead in R&D pipeline
Carry out regular design review meetings
Detailed mechanical engineering
Co-ordinate with the Production Department in finding solutions



Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or similar in mechanical engineering.
Proven record of relevant experience or cross-functional knowledge required in a similar role
Knowledge in mechanical design in different CAD tools, such as: AutoCAD; Inventor.
Knowledge of electrical schematics.
Knowledge of Hydraulics is considered added-values.
Experience of mechanical design in safety-critical systems is highly valued.
Willing to travel (nationally and internationally).
Open minded, easily adaptable, positive attitude towards new challenges.
Analytical, meticulous/accurate, and common sense.
Able to work in a team, responsible for your actions/decisions and result-oriented with a positive mind.
English and Swedish fluency in both speaking and writing are mandatory for this role.

Reporting
This position is reporting directly to the Company CEO
