You will be part of Grid Automation Products in Västerås. ABB’s Global center for protection and control within the power transmission area is in Västerås. We have approximately 200 employees who develop, manufacture and market products as well as offer comprehensive support and services to power customers worldwide. We work in close collaboration with ABB units in 80 countries and 95% of the sales are exported. ABB is the world leader within protection and control with several groundbreaking technological innovations, which through quick fault detection has improved the availability and efficiency of power transmission networks.

Your responsibilities
Your main task will be marketing activities such as customer presentations & trainings, driving certification or homologation activities to get end customers to approve our IEDs.
Development of partner integrator companies, and tight collaboration with the Area Sales Manager(s) within the Hub.
Technical Sales support to the local sales teams located in the Hub.
Supporting customers (internal/external) applying ABB Grid Automation products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and contacts via various IT infrastructures.
Maintain and improve knowledge of Power Systems, protection and related ABB Grid Automation products.
Applies principles, theories, standard techniques and concepts to provide solutions to customers (internal/external).
Participate in marketing and sales activities, including technical conferences.
Participate in development programs/projects with ref. to testing and documentation.
Contribute in customers feedback processes.
Act as teacher in product training courses.
Follow ABB Power Grids ‘Values in Action’.
Other duties as applicable.

Your background
High School or University degree in Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of experience in power systems and/or power industry, including protection and control equipment.
Preferably you are working within the power transmission business today.
Practical work in the power field is an advantage, i.e. commissioning type etc.
Ability to write and speak English (multi-lingual ability is a plus).
You are successful in your ways of networking and collaborating with stakeholders.
Models high standards of honesty and integrity.
Ability to learn new skills and assume responsibility.
Your result focus and execution are a natural part of your personality.
