Arbetsbeskrivning
This is us: Service Offer is a function within the European Service Market for Volvo bus; our job is to deliver premium customer experience and customer value through our service portfolio. The portfolio consists of Service contracts, Connected services and Uptime. We are a small team of experts developing, maintaining and launching services together with our markets. We now have an interesting opening as Technical Price Manager for Service Contracts.
Role Description: Your job as a technical price manager is to predict the future (easy right?), more specifically the repair and maintenance cost for a bus, in a specific environment and for a certain amount of years and mileage.
To do so you have to access the combined knowledge of the company. You have hundreds of thousands of historical data points and input from product development what the future brings. You collect the latest estimations for cost development and life length of significant components.
Then comes the art of balancing, how much of historical data vs. future improvement should we consider building the correct technical price for a contract. Aim too high and we might lose the business, too low and the financial impact to the company is significant, just right, and it will be a Win-Win for the customer and us.
Main areas of responsibility
Set a correct technical price for all models and markets
Yearly revision of price and calculations (Outcome)
Close cooperation with markets & PD to share knowledge and address improvements
Super user of the system used to generate calculations, quotes and contract documentation in the markets
Support markets in calculations for major tenders
Your colleagues in the service contract team work with business development, risk management and market support, together you form the global VBC Service Contract team. We are a small team and we support each other.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role we believe you are structured and curious in developing the models needed to set a correct technical price. You have no problems handling large amount of data.
You realize the importance of dealing with risk and uncertainties in a structured way, especially for new products. You have integrity and motivate, fact-based, the technical price level in dialog with the markets.
You have a university degree or significant experience in relevant area. Preferably, you have an automotive background with component knowledge.
You see yourself as a team player and have no problem building your network to collect more and new information needed to perform your job.
We know we have just described a very broad skill-set, and we really don’t expect you to cover all of it from day one.
