TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER
Purpose
The Technical Product Manager is responsible for product vision, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle.
In this role you will collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with cross-functional groups including Engineering, Sales, Finance, Marketing and Operations.
You will be responsible for guiding products through the execution cycle, focusing on analyzing customer requirements and technology trends, R&D, product definition, positioning and resource prioritization. The Product Management group is responsible for ensuring that revenue, ROI and customer satisfaction goals are met as part of PCTEL’s strategic programs. In addition, the successful candidate will create the materials to promote the portfolio with the marketing department and educate the sales force and market on the product’s applications and benefits.
Job Functions
Responsible for gathering and defining product requirements, strategy, specifications, and roadmap, as well as making recommendations and presenting options that enhance the value of the product, allowing PCTEL’s products to achieve rapid time to market.
Delivers Product Requirement Documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
Coordinates Product Requirement implementation with Engineering Development and business cases for new products and product enhancements.
Owns and champions assigned products through lifecycle including pricing definition to meet revenue and profitability goals. Becomes an expert with respect to the competition.
Analyzes issues, generates plans, drives action, and communicates effectively and diplomatically focusing on negotiating for the critical few that have the greatest impact.
Develops sales tools and collateral including core positioning, messaging, application notes, datasheets, brochures, presentations, training material, webinar presentations, competitive analysis, etc.
Trains the Technical Sales Support Team at product launch

Product Specific Requirements – Preferred (Antennas)
Possesses RF knowledge of cellular and critical communications technologies including 5G NR, WiFi, WCDMA, GSM, LTE, and Land Mobile Radio (P25, DMR and TETRA)
Experience working with enterprise routers, access points and critical communication/cellular radios.
Experience working with antenna design.
Your experience
To be succesful in this position we see that you have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
You also have at least 4 years of experience in wireless telecom market of which 2 years having product management, business development or technical sales responsibility.
Your profile
You have demonstrated leadership ability among peers, with ability to communicate/champion issues to upper management.
Your strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are important to hold deadlines.
Strong communication skills are also crucial foor being succesful. You need to have advanced verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English in order to create application notes, brochures, product briefs etc, but also to interact with various departments especially within Engineering, Sales, Operations and Customer Service.
But the most important thing is that you are the right person to be a part of our team meaning that you have a genuine interest in technology, are curious and willing to test new approaches. You like working in both small and large teams and support when and where it´s needed.
