Responsibilities
The Technical Messaging Product Manager role includes the responsibility of planning and execution of tasks related to achievement of commercial success of the Messaging products.
This is however performed in various parts of the organization. The role of the Product Manager in this context is to initiate, do, follow up and act as coordinator or team leader for the activities.
This includes work in the fields of life-cycle profitability, competitive strengths and requirements for the product, including all handling aspects during the products life cycle including sales support activities and phase out.
The Product Manager is responsible for the outcome of all messaging product related activities, and will actively drive or participate in them.
Main activities for the Product Manager:
Management
- Realization and follow up of product decisions
- Assignment proposals
- Order needed investigations, documentation and updates
Product plan
- Product Plan preparation
- Investment Plan preparation
- Product roadmap preparation for the Messaging products
- Market Requirements analysis
Product development
- Business Case preparation
- Secure relevant end-user analysis
- Recommend development, maintenance or phasing out functionality and products
- Product definition
- Main requirement specifications and/or backlog preparation
- Integration request and Change request preparation
- Product Life Cycle Plan preparation
- Report definition for external and internal customers
Marketing & Sales
- Prepare business supporting documentation, e.g. feature description
- Technical Sales support
Product maintenance & Phase out
- Product performance monitoring and reporting
- Product Life Cycle Plan updates
Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of experience, experience in the telecom industry or related business is an advantage.
- Product Management skills
- Leadership with focus on Business, Market and Relationship builder
- Ability to manage complex issues in an international environment.
- Oral and written fluency in English with excellent communication skills. French and/or Swedish is an asset.
