As Kambi is a B2B sportsbook provider, we provide our sportsbook to multiple partner brands. We have a robust and scalable data platform to handle our data needs and we are in a transformative journey modernizing our stack and making our data platform future-proof. Our users are mainly internal data and development teams who generate insights, reports, and data models to automate and improve our offering and efficiency.

We are now looking to strengthen our data platform stream with a Technical Product Owner to take senior responsibility for the technical aspects of our data lake and ingestion.

As a Technical Product Owner your main responsibilities will be to work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to build and deliver a data lake and ingestion strategy and design the capabilities needed for our data lake and help with translating architectural designs into product features and capabilities. Over time, your responsibilities will be to improve the onboarding of new data sources and build new capabilities to make the data lake a core part of our data platform and store all our structured data at any scale.

In this role, you will collaborate with large parts of the organization such as business stakeholders, data scientists, data analysts, development teams, and architects. You will get the chance to directly impact our strategy and set the vision together with other product owners. We want you to find creative solution drafts and iterate those continuously all the way to production. This includes:

• Create, maintain, and refine product visions and roadmap
• Collaborate with the stream management team to build quarterly OKRs
• Discover product development opportunities together with stakeholders
• Discover, slice, and plan what value to build, driven by hypotheses in a data-driven manner
• Communicate and educate on your products with the support of communication experts
• Own the product backlog, plan, and lead refinement sessions/groomings as the product expert
• Perform the Agile Product Owner craft - including daily Scrum standups, team product / technical backlog ownership, and delivery updates

We expect you to:

• Have solid Experience in big data, analytics, business intelligence, and databases
• Familiarity with relevant software and standards and experience with cloud computing in any public cloud is desirable
• Technical background and qualifications
• Have a proven ability to understand complex technical environments
• Solid experience in product development as a product owner / product manager in Data teams
• Proven leadership and presentation skills
• Track record of data-driven decision-making
• Proven ability to write about technology and the tech landscape
• Have a complete understanding of the product owner role and what is expected of you when working with development teams
