Technical Product Responsible – Automation to Surface and Exploration Drilling Division (SED) Epiroc

Job description
We are now looking for an experienced and qualified candidate with the main mission to work as Technical Product Responsible Automation in the Products R&D Group at the Epiroc SED division in Örebro
In this role you will have the technical product responsibility for part of our product portfolio. Your mission is to secure that the products and their different configurations fulfill all technical and legal specifications and that the products are competitive during the entire life cycle. Main responsibility areas in this role include:

* Coordinate all technical questions regarding automation products
* Act as technical project manager for Automation Special Requests
* First point of contact within R&D regarding our Automation offerings
* Close collaboration with our Product Managers in the marketing department regarding current offerings and the future
* Secure proper risk handling in ongoing activities
* Understand and work for fulfillment of Customer needs in different automation applications
* Give support in product related questions on today’s and old products
* Continuously work with improving the way we are working


You will have a central role in our Continuous Product Improvement process and will work cross functionally being the R&D interface to our other line functions and coordinate technical product related matters. You will take an active part in our Product Development projects and be the receiver of the result in the line organization.
The candidate we are looking for has an ability to work in a structured and driving way. Furthermore, you have a good sense of orderliness and both the willingness and capability to consistently deliver the right quality with good delivery precision.

This is a wide and outreached position including many internal cross functional contacts but also externally with sales companies, customers, other Epiroc sites around the world, suppliers etc.

Experience and Knowledge
To succeed in this role you need at least 5 years of experience from technical product development towards automation of products. A wide knowledge of different technical areas such as software development, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic is meriting.
You shall have a general knowledge and skills in project / product management. Very good knowledge of English is required since English is our corporate language and used, both in speech and in writing.
Educational Requirements
A documented academic background within relevant area or other qualified engineering background.
