Would you like to work in an international environment, taking part in developing the Sandvik of the future? We are currently looking for two Technical Production Analysts to join our Group R&D function.
Sandvik Group R&D is coordinated through the R&D Board with appointed senior members from all Sandvik Business Areas. The Sandvik Group R&D function has been formed to support strategy, further increase strengths, capitalize on synergies and enhance transparency. To be able to strengthen Sandvik´s competitiveness, several factors influencing the future direction of Sandvik R&D are considered. The main global trends identified within R&D are environment, health and safety, innovation networks, availability of information, the speed of time to market and local product development in emerging markets.
The competitive landscape is changing rapidly, which puts further demands on Sandvik in several areas. This has implications on R&D concerning product offerings in both core premium segments and mid-market segments.
Key performance areas
As a Technical Production Analyst within R&D, it will be your job to analyze, put together and present technical material to assist in the internal decision-making processes. You will also provide expert support, evaluate production systems and support other internal interests with your technical expertise, as well as identify future development potential. The position is part of the Group R&D function and reports to the Head of R&D Group. The position involves a great deal of international travel.
Your profile
You have at least a Master's in Engineering and five years' experience with production and technical development focused on heavy industry. Additionally, you have the ability to analyze production flow and equipment in both current production systems and those of the future. You not only have knowledge of LEAN production but also are accustomed to working within it. You also have good ability for summarizing technical analysis, verbally and in writing, and for cooperating in networks. As the work is conducted in a global environment, it is important that you communicate well in English as well, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
You have the ability to quickly grasp the overall situation and can delve deeper and analyze a particular area when needed. It is important that you are able to establish good relations and are used to working in an international environment with a fast tempo. As an individual you are independent, goal oriented and highly self-motivated.
