What is in it for you?
A position as Technical Project Leader and “Technical Driver” in the center of Volvo Cars exciting development of a new electrical architecture for electrification, autonomous drive, and connectivity. 

Your purpose is to be a servant leader and drive technical solutions across R&D. You will establish and communicate the concepts, functions, and features of Common Base Technologies in the R&D organization. You will review designs and implementations, in sync meetings to secure a prompt a fully functioning delivery.

We are looking for candidates with strong product focus and strong analytical skills and who possess the ability to handle risks and risk- management. You should have documented experience from leadership positions with proven ability to track, solve and/or escalate impediments. Previous experience of technical project management is highly meritorious. You should have a strong degree of business acumen and act as a team player in the system architect team.

What does our agile release train “Common Base Technologies” do?
We deliver Volvo Cars SW deployment technologies including over the air update solutions, inhouse developed vehicle platform services, start and electrical energy management within our vehicles. Cyber security solutions including processes and new wired communications such as automotive ethernet. We also develop a vehicle configuration solution, usage authorization of the car, tester communication and diagnostic client connection solutions.

What will you do?
You will manage product lead for cross functional CBT teams and be responsible for developing, implement and verify future platform solutions within the area of Common Base Technologies and R&D. 

•    Working with stakeholders and product management to set priorities and align expectations on the product
•    Maintain, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to create the most value across R&D
•    Drive the product vision including a technical logical roadmap for your product area across R&D
•    Collaborate with cross functional teams preparing work tasks in the coming increment and sprints and review the value created. 
•    In a clear and motivating way explain why this work task is important and needed.

What do you need to know?
We believe you have a MSc education in software engineering, data technology, electronics or similar and +7 years of relevant working experience, (data communication, SW development, electronics, wired communication technologies) with proven record of program management skills.

Software architecture skills are meritorious such as:
Software Download, Diagnostics, Car Config, Car vehicle communication, Wake up and sleep functionality
We believe that you are fluent in English, spoken and in writing 

To succeed in this role, it is most important that you are curious and aquick learner who enjoy diving into new things. As you will collaborate with many different people cross our company, we expect that you have excellent collaboration and communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
